Our Staff
At Sunshine, we believe that children come first. We pride ourselves in having a high quality team who are dedicated, committed and work together to provide a warm, welcoming and safe environment for the children in our care.
Rosie, Owner / Director
Originally from London, Rosie has been managing large kindergartens and ganim in both Israel and the UK for the past 8 years.
Rosie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Childcare and Early Years, along with many other child-related qualifications.
She brings over 15 years' experience in Early Years and is very enthusiastic about using all her training and knowledge to keep Sunshine developing and of a high standard.
Rosie has travelled to various countries around the world such as Ghana, Thailand and the Ukraine to volunteer in orphanages to care for vulnerable children. She has a huge passion for high quality childcare and providing a loving, warm space for children to grow and develop.
Rosie is also Special Educational Needs and Behaviour trained, and works closely with children and families who may need additional support.
Shlomi, Owner
Shlomi and Rosie are married and together they have a 1 year old boy who is in the Daffodil group and a newborn baby girl. They also live with Shlomi's 8 year old daughter who is in Kita Gimel.
As well as Shlomi being the 'back-end' of the business, he also looks after the physical gan environment and provides maintenance where needed. Shlomi's background is in construction and renovation. He has a parquet flooring business, and renovated both Sunshine locations! Shlomi has renovated many ganim over the years.
He loves to say hello to the children in the gan, and the children really love to be in Shlomi's company!
Our staff
At Sunshine, we have teams of loving Early Years Practitioners, who are dedicated to the learning and care needs of each individual child.
Our staff are one of two roles: key person or float. A key person is responsible for tracking the child's development, having the strong bond between home-gan life and being the 'voice' of their child inside the gan environment. The float staff are also supporting the unique needs for each child during the day, and ensuring activities and experiences are of a high standard.
We have a separate Friday Fun team (Sunshine Spinoza), who also care for the children part time during the week.
Sunshine provides regular training and updates knowledge of all practitioners, whether it be safeguarding, health and safety, promoting children's independence or the the development stages of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
We have an on-site chef who freshly prepares snacks and meals daily.
The chef is food safety, handling and hygiene trained, and they regularly update their knowledge and understanding.
Sunshine has a team of cleaners and professionals whose roles are to specifically ensure the Gan is kept sparkling!
